Surgery

Magrane Pet Medical Center has a complete sterile surgery suite where we attend to the routine procedures and special needs of our patients. We offer radiosurgery and laser surgery in addition to the traditional scalpel. We use the safest, most dependable anesthetics, which means a faster and safer recovery for your pet. Electronic heart, pulse oximeter, and respiratory monitoring equipment allow us to keep close watch on your pet during surgery to ensure that anesthesia is administered as safely as possible. Our trained surgical nurses also stay with your pet until he or she is fully conscious, and we will call you after surgery with a progress report.

Laser Surgery

A laser is an intense beam of light. Laser energy instantly vaporizes the water found in tissues, essentially removing an extremely small area of tissue. The energy seals nerve endings and blood vessels as it moves through the tissue, resulting in less bleeding, less pain, and virtually no trauma to surrounding tissue. Laser surgery offers many benefits for our patients including less pain, less bleeding, less swelling, extreme surgical precision, and reduced risk of infection because the laser energy kills bacteria. All of these factors add up to a quicker recovery for your pet.
